About Us

The Huntingdon 10k team are part of Hullabaloo, a charitable group which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of local people in Cambridgeshire. The 10k and 3k runs are not only great races now becoming established in the local running calendar, but help to raise much needed funds for local charitable projects (see charities tab for details). This will be the 4th year that the organisers have staged the event, and it has grown each year. In the last 3 years the run has directly raised over £16K for local charities and around £50K for runners’ own causes. We hope to achieve over £8k for our local projects this year, with 1000 10k runners and 250 3k runners, using an improved course which will be licensed with UK athletics for the first time. The team have also developed the idea of the spectator village, a chance for families and race supporters as well as the local community to enjoy the race atmosphere and enjoy activities and entertainment as well as finding out about local voluntary and charitable groups.
